If it is a periodontal (gum origin) abscess, (meaning that something like a pop corn kernel or nuts, or chips piece is stuck underyr gum line) , then after cleaning thoroughly and upon loss of local inflammation, it may go away.. By doing that, your dull throbbing pressure aching tooth pain should greatly reduce. In the meantime, if you have no kidney issues, try some over the counter ibuprofen. Stay below 2400mg/day. If no liver issues, can alternate (stagger) with Tylenol (acetaminophen). Stay below 3000mg/day. ...Read more
