Depends: It would depend on the type of penicillin allergy you had and the type of skin infection. If you just had a rash from penicillin and you do not have an MRSA infection cephalosporins like Keflex would be fine. Question?: I'm not certain what your question is but the effectiveness of Nexplanon should not be effected by antibiotics, however, if the infection was at the site of the Nexplanon and that was where your skin was cut open and packed there may be some real concern. Hope this helps. ...Read more
