Probably IBS: I agree with that your G.I. Doctor that this may be irritable bowel syndrome and not also have colitis crohn's disease or other types of active colitis. Lymphoid hyperplasia is a very common condition in the colon and terminal ileum. Chronic inflammation is very nonspecific and when mild with out features of autoimmune disease is often a variant of normal. ...Read more

Not cancer: You don't say, but i assume that you had a lymph node biopsy. Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia means that the lymphocytes have increased in number in response to something. The diagnosis means that the lymphocytes are not unresponsive cancer cells. Unless there is a treatable infection, there is not likely to be additional therapy necessary. ...Read more

Rituximab & chemo: I take it by "reactive lymphiod hyperplasia" you mean primary intestinal follicular lymphoma (fl) of the intestine; pls clarify. Primary fl of the duodenum (fl-d) is a rare entity. Talk to your doctor about Rituximab monotherapy and/or chemotherapy w/ or w/o radiation. All seem to have a good response. Radiation can have serious undesirable effects on small bowek. ...Read more

Unlikely: By biopsy if it is reactive hyperplasia , means then it is not cancer , but need observation. , AFB negative means did not see in lymph gland, also have to wait few wks to get culture report back, follow your doctor's advises ...Read more
