Ouch: If you have a strained groin burpees are gonna hurt! I'm not sure I know what you mean by glutes not firing. If you want to strengthen the glutes squats and lunges are good but WAIT til the groin is better-at least 2 weeks. In the meantime water exercises, Pilates or yoga. ...Read more

Yes & no : My recommendation is to stop your rehab exercises for the time being , ice the affected knee , avoid weight baring , start using your crutches again and contact your Orthopefic surgeon ASAP for further instructions .
