Chicory is fine: Ginger can help with nausea, as can lemon balm (Melissa), lemon verbena and lemon grass. Not sure which of these is in your tea, but chicory shouldn't pose a problem. ...Read more

It may cause skin, respiratory, or intestinal allergies and it may induce uterine contractions...therefore it is not recommended in pregnancy. No reason to worry: Inulin is a naturally occurring carbohydrate from root vegetables that is not absorbed & used as a food source for probiotics & intestinal flora. It is fairly benign & there is no evidence that it is hazardous to take during pregnancy. However, it may feed unfriendly flora as well as friendly flora so may not be good for everyone.
