Benefits Of Chewing Raw Ginger
Is it a good idea to swallow a few pieces of raw garlic for its health benefits? I don't wanna chew on the garlic because I know it causes bad breath…
Do not except garlic to treat or prevent any illness. What you propose doing will give you bad breath and not provide any benefit.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex.

Human studies suggests that 1g daily of ginger may be effective for nausea and vomiting in pregnant women when used for short periods (no longer than 4 days). Several studies have found that ginger is better than placebo in relieving morning sickness. In a small study of 30 pregnant women with severe vomiting, those who took 1 gram of ginger every day for 4 days reported more relief from vomiting than those who took placebo. In a larger study of 70 pregnant women with nausea and vomiting, those who received a similar dosage of ginger felt less nauseous and did not vomit as much as those who received placebo. Pregnant women should ask their doctor before taking ginger, and should be careful not take more ...Read more

Ginger: An adult can chew 1/4th ounce of raw ginger to decrease nausea but should not exceed 4 grams per day. Ginger can cause mouth irritation & heartburn – so encourage ginger tea instead. Place thin slivers of fresh organic ginger in tea pot with boiling water – steep for 5 minutes & then slowly sip. Ginger can interfere with use of blood thinners. REF: ...Read more

I've had gastric bypass almost 3 years ago so I either chew my mess or crush them but I have noticed my tongue is getting raw, how can I help this?
Unrelated: This seems to be unrelated to the bypass, and may be secondary to something you're consuming. Try keeping a log of what you take in, and correlate that to the symptom gettin better or worse. If you're getting worse, or this persists, see your primary care provider for a proper evaluation. Hope this helps! ...Read more
