Normal clicking: Clicking in a joint can be due to lots of different things. Nearly 99.9% of the time though if it isn't painful you aren't doing any damage. Shoulder strain: You may be injuring the ligaments that keep your shoulder in place and healthy. I would give your shoulder some rest and see if it recurs once beginning exercises again. Neck/back pain: Pain in this area may be due to strain/sprain especially if induced after a heavy weight lifting set. Consider heat/ice/massage. My left shoulder is painful when I apply certain weight to it. If I do bench press exercises, I get a sharp pain and feel a bit weak in it. ?

Difficult diagnosis : Difficult to answer without exam because of multitude of pain sources. Could be pectoral us tendon year given location and pain trigger. Several possibilitie: You may have strained your shoulder muscles. You might also be overtraining. Too much weight and/ or lifting too frequently. You need at least 72 hrs between workouts.
