"tumor" literally translates as "mass", so even a fresh bruise could be called a "tumor". Doctors use the term "neoplasm" (tranlates literally as new growth) to describe tumors that are abnormal growths of cells. These may be benign or malignant; "malignant" = cancer. In everyday usage, we use "tumor" ...Read more

Hie,Am having right ovarian cyst 50mm*30mm size .It is paining, symptoms are like urinary urgency, lower abdomen pain, lower abdomen pressure.
See a Dr: If an ovarian cyst is causing discomfort and urinary urgency, it needs further workup to ensure that it has not twisted or ruptured. Pressure on the lower abdomen probably means the cyst is increasing in size and needs re-evaluation to ensure there is no associated fibroid in the uterus. Alternatively the symptoms can be due to a simple Urinary tract infection. See a Dr to get your urine tested ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Operated undecended testicle showed tumor cells . Enlarged paraaortic lymph node in ct. But tumor markers normal. High alt(67). Is it still seminoma?
In situ?: The diagnosis of seminoma is made on examination of tissue by the pathologist; tumor markers and imaging are ancillary studies. An undescended testis often has premalignant cells lining the tubules; these are not yet cancer and if gone will not be troublesome. If you were told there was indeed an actual seminoma, that's a different story & you may require followup such as biopsy of the node. ...Read more
Call your surgeon.: Anytime you have problems or questions in the immediate postoperative period, it is a wise idea to talk with the surgeon who performed your surgery. No questions are silly. It would be difficult for us to diagnose what that may be without being able to see it, however. The surgeon is in the best situation to diagnose it. Good luck. ...Read more
I'm very nasuas, have midline pain just above belly button. Went to ER, Had CT Scan, it said Fluid filled loops of small bowel are present.Whats that?
Several: possibilities. Most worrisome would be a small bowel obstruction (they wouldn't have sent you home). More likely are either a viral intestinal infection or an ileus (temporary paralysis of the bowel muscles), either of which could cause your symptoms. Fortunately, both will go away on their own. Just stick to clear liquids until you feel better. If your symptoms worsen, return to the ER. ...Read more

I advise GI work up to include labs, ultrasound+/-ercp, depending on above results. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

4cm complex ovarian cyst. Mri can't ruleout neoplasm. Hysterectomy in apr. Age 37. Horrible pain, bloating, urinary incont. Bowel changes. Surgery?
May have to remove i: Complex ovarian cysts require closer monitoring and consideration of removal if they grow in size. The size is still not big enough to chase it and remove it right now. But an interval re-evaluation in 2-3 months will help to determine if it is increasing in size or not. If it grows over 6 months and the size is bigger than 6-7 cm, i would recommend surgical removal. But also get a ca125 level do. ...Read more
Hard to say: If the interpretation on the MRI by the radiologist is that it is a cyst, then it is likely benign. It also depends if there is any area of enhancement that would suggest a tumor. Also if you have serial MRI scans, you can tell if it is getting bigger or changing which is more likely a tumor. The location in the ventricle is important too. If it obstructs the foramen it could be a problem. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Fix it: If you have pain from constipation, fix the pain. You can try an enema, milk of magnesia, miralax (polyethylene glycol). Most important to fixing constipation, however, is to drink more fluids and eat more fiber. I'm not sure what you were referring to by sweet vagina smell. The vagina shouldn't really smell... If it does, then you could have a bacterial infection and that is something nurse or doctor can help you w. ...Read more
