May be: Something else. How long ago was your surgery? If the surgery was recent then muscle and gas pains can come and go & sometimes can be worse with large or fatty meals. If the surgery was longer ago then see your family doctor for an evaluation as pains can come from many sources. ...Read more

When was surgery?: For the first several weeks after surgery there can be some inflammation and "scar tissue" which presents as this. If there is redness increasing pain and/or discharge it may be infected. If it has been years since the surgery you may have a hernia there. Some cancers present as a mass in this area.
