Nerve or other: You had laparoscopy 5 weeks ago. You have hot sensation above belly button. It could be a nerve trapped. It could be infection but you would expect drainage. Might be prudent to see your surgeon to have it evaluated. ...Read more

Soreness: at the site of a surgical incision 5 days after surgery is normal. Generally pain medication is prescribed by the surgeon for this discomfort. Dried blood under surgical tape can be normal & is not a cause of pain. If there is increasing skin redness around the incision, or other concerns, see or call your surgeon soon.
