Should twins and triplets be dressed alike?

Your call: I don't know if the answer to this is really medical. I see no problem with dressing them alike on occasion, as it might be cute, but whether fraternal or identical, they are individuals and dressing them differently can foster their sense of individuality. Of course when they are older they can decide for themselves. My daughters (not twins) like to wear matching outfits once in awhile... ...Read more

Being A Twin (Definition)

Under natural conditions, your chance of having a pregnancy with more than one baby is relatively low (approximately a 1.5% chance). How do you compare the risks of having triplets to selective reduction of triplets to twins?

How do you compare the risks of having triplets to selective reduction of triplets to twins?

A tough decision: This is a question with medical, personal, personal religiousbeliefs, and answers only bestmdiscussed with your partner, and your doctor together. Talk with your doctor, ask as many questions as possible and take time to decide. ...Read more

Why are triplet pregnancies considered much higher risk than twins?

Earlier, smaller: The risk of preterm birth is higher for several reasons; triplet birth is likely to be earlier than that of twins. For the mother of triplets, the risks from abdominal delivery are higher than those of women with twins delivered vaginally and possibly abdominally, depending on the size and position. ...Read more

Will every triplet or twin in identical births have the same developmental disability?

Will every triplet or twin in identical births have the same developmental disability?

Probably not: Developmental delay/disabilities have many causes, most of which are not genetic. If you are known to carry a genetic disease associated with developmental disability, testing can usually be performed on each fetus individually while still in the uterus. If you are thought to have identical (monozygotic) twins or triplets, then they would all share identical genes. ...Read more

My first beta hCG was 1030 on 18/06/14 and second beta hCG was 4631 on 21/06/14...What are chances twins or triplets?

Same as without test: Beta Hcg is a poor predictor of multiple birth due to wide variation in both single and multiple births. A rapid rise like this could just as easily be a singleton pregnancy ...Read more
