Beer Sinus Headache
Migraine: I hear it all the time: "I got sinus, doc." They're wrong. That's a myth perpetrated back in the decades of "postnasal drip" i.e. the 50s & 60s by the advertisers of Dristan. 99% of all "sinus" headaches - aren't. They're mostly migraines. If you have radiological proof of sinusitis and your pain goes away if it's treated, then you're entitled to the diagnosis of sinus headaches. Otherwise, not. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Day 5 of omnicef (cefdinir) for sinus infection, feeling worse, congested, drainage, headache, fatigue, nausea..is this normal?
Yes, pretty normal: Most sinusitis isn't due to bacteria, but to viruses, allergy, etc, and antibiotics like cefdinir (Omnicef) have no effect. Your doctor probably thought it was worth a try, but maybe didn't really expect it to help much. Nasal or oral decongestant and hydration (saline nasal spray) may be more effective. Or maybe a different antibiotic, e.g. azithromycin. Discuss with the doctor. ...Read more

Possible: Caffeine has been used with tylenol (acetaminophen) and Aspirin to stop headaches and is often of value. 28 yo frequent sinusitis sufferer. Headache, cough, fluid behind ears, tickling in throat. Reoccurring sinus infection?
Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see an ENT doctor. There may be underlying issues, e.g., a deviated septum, or immune deficiency that would require an evaluation. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
