Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your symptoms but problems with headaches, feeling dizzy, fainting can be due to low blood pressure. Problems with fainting, headache, feeling weak, dizziness, being tired can be tied to dehydration. Problems with dizziness, feeling weak, being tied can be due to anemia. It wouldn't be appropriate to try to provide you with a diagnosis in this format, but I would recommend that you be medically evaluated to determine the source of symptoms. Would recommend a complete blood count as well as tilt blood pressure and pulse. That is all I can offer you. Take care. ...Read more

Dizzy spells and lightheadedness upon standing with Losartan. Seated BP averages 117/77. How is this issue resolved.?

Ask your health: Care practitioner to consider a different antihypertensive and confirm it is actually necessary. Have them take your blood pressure standing after three minutes rather than seated. They may find you don't actually have hypertension. You might have autonomic dysfunction mimicking hypertension. In that case, beta blockers are preferable to Losartan. ...Read more

Began losartan (25mg) when BP = 131/82. Lowered it to 120/74. Year later = 114/65. Feeling lightheaded. Could it be diastolic at 65?

Began losartan (25mg) when BP = 131/82. Lowered it to 120/74. Year later = 114/65. Feeling lightheaded. Could it be diastolic at 65?

BP may be too low: I would not have given medicine for a BP of 131/82 to begin with — that is at worst high normal. The current BP is low enough that you might well get light-headed when standing up or if you get a bit dehydrated. My suggestion would be to either halve the pill or just stop and see your doctor to have it rechecked. ...Read more

Dizziness: The symptoms described do not necessarily indicate a particular diagnosis. Low blood pressure can cause lightheadedness; it is always better to be safe than to ignore it.
