Sounds good to me: I recommend people eat fruits & vegetables of all colors as the colors are made by different beneficial micronutrients. It's great that you're eating the veggies you do & that you're getting colorful fruits, so you're doing fine, but consider adding in some red/orange/yellow peppers, onions, carrots, tomatoes & purple cabbage. Is plain chicken breast, asparagus, broccoli & cauliflower, mushrooms, and sweet potato a human healthy dinner?
I am allergic to chicken, pork, beef, clam, egg, soy, barley, oat, cashew, brazil nut, and english walnut. Could I have a protein intolerance?
What kind of allergy: Prick, blood tests not very accurate re: food allergies. Neg tests exclude an immune reaction (true allergy), but pos tests have less value. Best test is a double-blind food challenge (neither tester nor pt know which is which, until code is cracked at end of test); cumbersome. This excludes about 90% of "allergies". Other blood tests can be used, not "live-cell"-bogus, no "applied kinesiology". ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers

Diabetes and Food: I think the simple answer is no. But, when you look at these specific items in your list there are things that are lower in carbohydrates like the yogurt and the avocado. But, in each person with diabetes, the answer may vary based upon how well controlled their blood sugars are. The goal is to eat more protein and less carbohydrates. My vit b 12 is 825, down from 970, 6 months ago. I'm a vegetarian, but drink alot of milk and eat beans, although i stopped eating soy. Normal result?
I'm vegetarian, but eat fruits, veggies, tons of beans as well as eggs, yogurt, nuts for proteins. My Vit. B 12 is 920. Is it bad to be so high?
Your level not high: 920 is well within the normal range (presuming your lab has the standard normal range) so it is not "so high." There is no known toxicity of B12. Levels that are above normal in those not supplementing can be a sign of health problems, but those problems are not caused by B12. Yogurt and eggs are good sources so you are getting good levels from that. See http://tinyurl.com/osae3wq ...Read more
