There were some problems in boat with battery acid. How quickly it affects, if there spread some drops to clothes or skin? In hours? In days?

How concentrated?: The acid would cause burns on the skin. The lesions would show up in minutes to a couple of days, depending on how concentrated the acid was. If you washed it soon after exposure, you should be okay.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. How can I prevent gastritis, I awake in the middle of the night with an acid that takes my breath away & my nose & stomach w/ severe reflux for 1hr +?

Esophageal reflux: Rather then gastritis, this sounds like reflux. The most powerful meds for this are proton pump inhibitors (ppi). Over the counter antacids and histamine blockers are also useful. Lifestyle modifications such as raising the head of the bed when you sleep, decreasing fat in your diet, and avoid lying down for 3 hours after eating. Hello, during bad flare-up of GERD, I notice traces of blood in my nose (none in mouth). Can acid enflame sinus passages that badly and dry them out?

If you get acid: Reflux all the way into your nasal passages, then you are in a lot of trouble since your epiglottis is supposed to stop this from happening normally. You may have high blood pressure caused by GERD that can precipitate a nosebleed. Or you may have sinuses that are dry/ inflamed from allergies/ sneezing/ postnasal drip that can bleed. But it is not likely from acid reflux. ...Read more

Anti-acid: If the reflux is causing your throat clearing, irrigating the nose or sinus would not do anything. You will need to control the reflux by adapting lifestyle changes (avoid coffee/tea/alcohol, eat small meals, avoid fatty/acid foods, sleep on wedge with 4-6 inch elevation, no food/drink at least 2 hrs before bedtime. It is likely that you will need to take a protein pump inhibitor. See GI doc? ...Read more

Possibly: Whenever there is an opening in the skin, there is the likelihood of infection, which will delay healing. Bactroban (mupirocin) is an excellent topical antibiotic and should prevent secondary infection. If you have never used this cream before, I advise testing it elsewhere on your skin first to be sure you do not react to this as well. ...Read more
