Barium: Barium leaves the body through the intestine in the feces. However, because barium is constipating, some patients may have trouble getting the barium out of the intestine. Keep it moving: And of those issues, only constipation would seem to be of concern. Barium itself can be constipating; it even can solidify stool. Yeah. So be consistent with the treatment you've been prescribed - (don't overdo, tho) preferably fiber, psyllium, PEG (miralax) etc. Rather than stimulant laxatives. Keep it moving till the barium's outta there. ...Read more

My barium swallow came out good just swollen sinuses I get lot of sinus headaches for years. I starting allergy shots next week. Will they help?
Can't see a connection: Between your barium swallow and your sinuses! Allergy shots do help most of the time if prescribed and given by an expert, it will take time though to feel a difference, other prescribed meds should administered too till the effect of allergy shots start, can take up to a year to feel a difference, if not improved, you don't continue, mind you there is around 10-20 % failure rate, good luck ...Read more
