Need more info: Sounds more like neuroma pain with the shoe part as well as the squeezing of the foot, but not where the pain is. Neuroma pain occurs around the toes underneath. Sounds like some kind of nerve compression somewhere. Have it checked ...Read more

When the nerve roots in your neck are pinched or irritated by bulging discs or osteophytes (bone spurs), you could have pain, numbness or other sensations in your arms and hands. (it's like having sciatica in your arms.) if left untreated, you could eventually develop weakness in your upper extremities. See your doctor about these symptoms. Typically if the pain you describe is around the cast in the foot then it could be the cast was too tight and caused a local compression of nerves in the foot.
