Muscular: My opinion is that the prolonged activity caused pectoral muscular strain bringing on your symptoms. Associated chest wall tenderness and rib cage discomfort on chest wall motions would point to chest wall strain as the source of your complaint. If you have continued concern, consult your physician for evaluation and advice. ...Read more
6wks pst op bunion removed & screw in big toe, wires in 2 toes. Plaster & wires removed 2 days ago. The big toe is sticking up is this normal?
Have it evaluated.: The position of the big toe immediately following cast, pin, and bandage removal is not necessarily reflect its final position after you have regained strength and mobility following the postoperative and rehabilitation period. For some procedures, the big toe may be purposely fused in a slightly elevated position and you may not be use to that. Consult with your surgeon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Fell down stairs, broke tib/fib, foot hanging backwards, 2 plates & 10 screws, 1 year later plates and screws removed, told i can never run again. Why?
Varies: I would not hesitate to get a follow up appointment and specifically answer that question. Presumably if your plates and screws have been removed your fractures are healed. One of the more common reasons we might tell the patient that is if they have quite a bit of post traumatic arthritis on their follow up X-ray and want to try to protect the joint. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Help! i'm having my house re-done & i was walking outside & tripped over a wire type fence on the ground & cut my leg in 3 places. The wire fence thing looked brand new. Do i need a tetanus shot?
If not up to date: If you have not had a tetanus shot within the last 10 years he will need to have a booster shot. It would also be a good idea if those cuts are deep to have them looked at that for any foreign body that may have become lodged in them and for general wound care. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I do patient lifting to a stretcher/ and sliding. I ovulated 6/10 6/12. Can this affect implantation? When can I test? LMP 5/24 had Chemical M/C.
No effect: Your occupation and your straining/exercise shouldn't affect your chances of implantation given that any pregnancy that occurs would be very small and be shielded from the pressure by the cushioning of the uterus. Only test if you don't get your period in two weeks. You should be in close contact with an OB/GYN if you're trying to conceive because of your age. ...Read more
