Plantar fasciitis: It hurts especially when arising from bed or out of a sitting position. It won't usually be cured until you receive some treatment form a physician. In the meantime, ice it, wear supportive footgear at all times and take some anti-inflammatory medication if you can tolerate it and it is safe for you. ...Read more

I have a pain in the arch of my left foot just in front of my heal. It is sore in the morning  and after long days on it. How do I prevent/treat?

Plantar fasciitis: Heel and arch pain are common especially if you stand for long periods of time or walk in flat shoes. The best shoes would be good running shoes. Bare feet, flip flops, and other flat shoes should be avoided. The pain usually doesn't appear until the next morning and can be relieved by stretching. Stretching exercises for the calf muscles and anti inflammatory meds should help. ...Read more

Sore feet in AM: if its the sole of the foot - and its near the middle to back by the heel - sounds like plantar fasciaitis and NOT a spur. if its forefoot pain - could be metatarsalgia - Probably best to see your doctor or a podiatrist.
