Aches and pains everywhere and pins and needles. I am very concerned about Lyme disease although I don't have rash. Could it be serious ?
Last year I was hiking and was bit multiple times by horseflies. 1 bite swelled very large on my foot and another had a "bullseye" looking rash. I've had many health issues since then that seem lyme disease related. Who can I contact to get tested?
I had Lyme disease in 2011 and it was treated with antibiotics Could Lyme symptoms persist years later? I still feel fatigued with muscle aches.
Yes it can: Because the organism causing Lyme is a spirochete, it does not really respond completely to antibiotics and some may have survived. Get several blood tests to,check, for,Luke titters. Make an appt with infectious disease doctor today to check this out and get your immune system checked as well. ...Read more
Does pheriferal neuropathy caused by Lyme disease go away by itself after healing lyme? My left foot is burning...I can't get no sleep because of it
See a neurologist: This is one situation in which i would urge a 2nd opinion with a neurologist if you have not already seen one. If the neuropathy is related to lyme disease (and imo that is a large "if") the injury to the nerves heals very slowly. A neurologist would rule out other causes and offer you meds which are often very helpful in minimizing the symptoms. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Last year I was diagnosed with Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. The last few days both of my nipples are sore to the touch?
Sensitivity: I doubt one has anything to do with another. Have your doctor check your estrogen levels (which if your taking intramuscular testosterone for example...will convert excess androgen to the female hormone as well). If your hypothyroid..you may be getting too much thyroid replacement hormone. Flomax (tamsulosin) for prostate issues can also cause similar symptoms. See your doctor, have him evaluate you. ...Read more
Could knee, foot, calf, and leg pain be caused my Lyme disease or mono or ra? What types of tests should I have? I do have a back history
Cannot diagnose: You need to be thoroughly evaluated and to communicate effectively with the doctor(s) seeing you. This cannot be done long distance over the internet. Make a detailed list of all your symptoms, the sequence in which they occur and their relationships with each other and take this with all you prior medical records to either a rheumatologist or an infectious diseases doctor. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
