Balance Of Nature Vitamins
Maybe.: I do not recommend otc supplements for patients who have medical problems. This is because drug store products are inferior quality, which is why they are cheap. Health food store products are better in quality. For best quality, obtain professional products. However, if you have no medical problems it may make no difference. Check company longevity and whether they have any specialty items. ...Read more
Depends: Many multivitamins have too much iron and copper in them. Copper and zinc should be in balance, and are competitively absorbed. Many people already have enough copper and insufficient zinc, therefore a supplement with copper is often undesired. Iron can be an oxidative stress on the body, and we do not supplement it unless clearly needed. So read the label to decide. ...Read more

I am taking 7 different medicines and was wondering if I can continue to take Natures Code Vitamins for women 50 and over?
Yes, in fact...:
Many medications (including yours) increase our need for vitamins so it can be argued the more meds you're on the more vitamins you need. I have much more concern about interactions between these meds than them interacting with vits. Anyone on statins should take CoQ10. It is hazardous to take Omeprazole for long periods. Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea. It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed. Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful. The dose (read label and check that half or more of the ingredients are several 100 per cent above RDA. Dose more important than a long list. ...Read more
Yes,but even better:: It's a good idea for everyone to take a good multivitamin & being on medicines often increases our need for vitamins. However, I don't recommend the nature made brand because it has synthetic (dl-alpha tocopherol) rather than natural vit e (d-alpha), which is hazardous. See http://www.Multivitaminguide. Org/ for ratings of 101 brands- any in the top 30 would be a better choice. Also, see comment:. ...Read more
Since I have been taking natures bounty gummy vitamins w/biotin my urine has a very strong smell . Why?
MVI (multivitamin) has B vits in it: Check the label and see what's in it, and the B vitamin doses. That could be causing it. Also, make sure you're hydrating well. If the urine is yellowish that means you need to hydrate more, and could be from the B's. Can always ask your doctor this too. ...Read more

Can I take vitafusion brand prenatal, and nature made brand vitamin c and spring valley brand biotin together every day?
Probably: I can't really answer about the safety of taking those specific brands together because we really don't have enough information to accurately compare one brand against another. Manufacture of vitamins/supplements is not regulated; often they don't measure up to the label. OK to take prenatals, Vit C and biotic together; not sure you need last two. I would identify one "good" brand and buy/take those ...Read more

Should not, but...: Much too much c! No one needs more than 300mg/day. Vitamin c is not essential for human life. The details of which will bore you. Can Multi-Vitamins like Nature's Way Alive Max Potency help with fatigue, tiredness, and low energy?
I have vitamin C dietary supplements. How many can I take? They are 500 mg each. It's the "nature made" brand.
Vitamin c is generally considered a very safe supplement, and has been studied by medical researchers in doses up to 10, 000 mg (that would be 20 of the capsules you say you have) per day.
The us recommended daily allowance for vitamin c is 90 mg/day for men, 75 mg/day for women. So if you took one 500 mg tablet per day you would be getting well over the daily minimum amount suggested by the fda.
Exactly how much you should take is controversial. Recommendations range from the rda above to 2, 000 mg per day (and some are higher). Looking over most of the medical research, most benefits are thought to be attained at a dose of 400-500 mg/day, or one of your tablets.
There is very little risk of anything bad happening to you from too much vitamin c. People often get diarrhea at higher doses (in the 1000-2000 mg/day range), but this goes away when the dose is reduced.
A good source of information about vitamin c is the linus pauling institute at oregon state university (google them). ...Read more

Is it safe to take a one a day womens multivitamin along with a nature made stress b complex vitamin? I was told I could because the bs you would pee
Vitamins: I don't know what kind of multivitamin you're talking about -- different ones have different contents and fillers. As long as you are not sensitive to corn or other fillers in it, nature made stress b complex should be fine. Be sure to look at how much vit c is in your other vitamin, because your "b complex" has 500 mg in it as well. You can get loose stools from more vit c than you can tolerate. ...Read more

Garden of life women's formula vitamin code good for a general supplement? Is it in a good synergistic balance? Better to take separately than multi?
No endorsments: Healthtap doctors do not give blanket endorsements of any products. However, the listed ingredients in this one seem reasonable -- and at least its natural vitamin e.
