Gait training: Some tips for ataxia/ unsteady gait: 1) follow advice from your physical ; occupational therapists. 2) do recommended home exercise program 1 or more times daily. 3) work axial muscles--pelvis, hips, low ; upper back, abdomen focusing on flexibility/ range of motion and strength. 4) also work legs, calves, feet for balance and control. 5) stay limber, stretch before and after exercise.
