It depends: There are a few surgical options for wt loss and a few are actually very effective in reducing gerd symptoms. I do have patients who report more gerd sx after lap band but usually improves with dietary modification. Need more info: These symptoms are not specific for anything I can tell. Would need more info. Any discomfort etc? Gas/bubble popping noise makes me wonder what is going on with motility of stomach.
