It's not good: What you described has been considered by some experts as an indicator for more severe problems later on in life. Cruelty to animals is not that uncommon, and there are professionals out there who know what to do about it. Animals must be kept away from your daughter at all times. Evaluation needed: Any kid who regresses in speech or language should be evaluated by his/her pcp/developmental pediatrician or pediatric neurologist. What is the problem: in wearing high heals while teaching KG kids, unless you are worried about your mother's posture and back if she has back problems/disease, if so better avoid high healed footwear and put on comfortable ones ...Read more

Anxiety/ Phobia: Hopefully he has been evaluated by a child psychiatrist. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychoeducation of parents and child, school intervention, and medications, such as ssris ( 1st line tr); 2nd line-benzodiazepines for short term; 3rd line-- buspirone. If every thing fails antipsychotics may be useful in high levels of agitation. Cbt are the best supported interventions. Early tr improves prog. ...Read more

One possibility: While abuse is one of the things in the possible reasons for this scenario, it is not the only one. There could be a neurologic problem leading to the soiling and wetting. There could be psychologic problems, with the number one disorder coming to mind being depression and/or anxiety in this age group. The kid's thyroid could be out of whack.
