I would consider "scalp fatigue" caused by diminished local circulation or nerve pain due to the pressure of certain hair styles such as braids. Need good exam: Images from MRI/CT are usually static (meaning you lying there in one position)- you are describing a dynamic problem- clicking and pain with motion. Most of the time, this is a ligament/soft tissue phenomenon that a good physical exam can assess; dynamic imaging like motion xrays, can also assess.
