When lying in bed, is it advisable to wear hose stockings, plus to have feet up resting on pillows? Or feet up without hose? Or hose without pillows?
I assume: You are doing all this to combat swollen extremities. Elevation of feet is helpful. The hoosiery does not have to be worn at night. It is meant to wear when standing to combat effects of gravity. True elevation is above heart level so the pillows are a good idea. It too though may not be necessary. Any exercise > none: Any exercise (physical activity) is better than none. My bigger concern is why you've been "bedridden" for a year and to what extent. If truly bedridden, then even sitting up may be difficult. More importantly, in this day & age, no one should go w/o healthcare even if s/he doesn't have insurance.
