Kidney stone?: Just based on the limited symptoms you described, it could possibly be a kidney stone. Lower back pain at the costal-vertebral angle that radiates into the groin and scrotum could be a symptom of a kidney stone. I would suggest following up with a urologist for a second opinion. ...Read more

Back pain, groin pain, leg pain could this be sciatic nerve and how can one treat it?

Yes: The groin pain could also be from your hip joint but the back and leg pain is most likely sciatica. Best way to reduce back pain is to be as light as you can (optimal weight) be as fit as you can (high level of fitness with good core muscle strength) and don't smoke. The intermittent use of anti-inflammatory medications will help as well. An epidural injection is also very effective. ...Read more

Position: It all depends on the position of the stone. Given that you had an ultrasound exam i suspect the stone was found in a nonobstructing position in your kidney. These stones (at the size you mentioned especially) are rarely painful when located in the kidney. Ct scan would likely be necessary to determine if a stone is present in the ureter. ...Read more

Evaluate Low Back: If you are not improving have your doctor order a lumbar spine mri. Many times a herniated disc in the back can cause leg pain especially if you have not improved with the medications and physical therapy. If it is a herniated disc you may need evaluation from a spine specialist to determine what other options might be needed (injections, surgery, etc) to help reduce pain. ...Read more

Still okay to have sex. Try heat packs. ...Read more
