Back Pain With Deep Inhale
Deep mid back pain, sharp when taking a deep breath just at the end of the breath. Not too severe but bothersome and only feel when inhaling deep?
Pleuritis--see M.D.: This pain at the end of a deep breath in the back at the age of 27 if you are healthy suggests to me pleuritis or costochondritis. If you have no fever then it is likely not bacterial but viral as it usually is found to be. Regardless, If this is ongoing for more than a couple of days, I would see your doctor. If you have a family history of significant heart disease, I would call your M.D. now
I had coughing/congestion for a week. Now there's back pain under right shoulder blade. Only hurts mildly with deep inhale. Nose is still stuffy.
Should get x ray: There are several possibilities one is that all the coughing caused a muscle spasm and that is what hurts. It could be pleurisy a bit of fluid in the membrane around the lung. It could be a pneumonia although that's normally not painful but you may notice a full sort of breath feeling in inhalation/ the xray will rule out a lot of these quickly/.
28 year old male-started as severe back pain from right shoulder blade down to middle of back. 30 minutes later severe pain on right side of chest. Shortness of breath, feeling that im not getting enough oxygen. Deep pain in right lung when inhale/exhale
Bed?: May be your bed. Also, look at your posture and what exercises your doing during day. If this happens frequently, see an osteopathic physician.
Started working out. Today sudden upper left back pain when taking deep breath and now hurts when I move/walk. What could it be?
Muscle strain: You probably have a muscle strain and spasm from working out It can be painful and sharp It does hurt more with movement Rest it, moist heat, and some advil (ibuprofen) If you get shortness of breath or increased chest pain then followup with ER but I feel that it is just a muscle strain at your age
My back pops ever so often when I take a deep breath laying down and I also have back pain that comes and goes. What is the cause of my back pops?
Hypermobility?: If you are double "jointed" then is possible that you have some minor instability of your spine. If you can do most of the following, is possible you are double jointed. 1. Hands flat on the floor with knees extended 2. Hyperextension of the elbow 3. Hyperextension of the knee 4. Thumb touching the forearm 5. Hyperextension of the 5th knuckle hope this helps, www. I have this constant back pain on the left side particularly in one spot. When I take a deep breath I can feel the pain. What could be the cause if it?
Exam: Please proceed to your local ER or UC clinic to evaluate your lungs with both a chest x-ray and pulse oximetry. Never ignore chest pain related to deep breathing.
Pain with breathing: See a physician if symptoms persist or worsen over the next day.
I caught a breath taking sharp upper back pain in my left side that shot to my abd in the same spot can it be a spasm? On hurts on deep breath
It could be: The doctors who ordered your test would have the best idea, since the considered most of the options. Would obviously also consider things in your upper belly on the left side, since your diaphragm, a dome shaped muscle under your lung, flattens during a deep breath, and pushes on the contents of your upper abdomen.
Back pain: The most common causes of pain in this area is inflammation of the sacroiliac joint. Also, an inflamed facet joint in the lumbar spine or the sacrospinous ligament can cause this pain. Kidney stones can be a source of pain too. Begin with anti-inflammatory medications and apply ice to the affected area. If the pain persists then see a medical doctor.
I am having back pain in middle (near ribs) from a long time, it only pains if I take a deep breath, does my smoking has any relation to this?
May be and may be no: See u pcp for evaluation.Get a more detailed answer ›
I'm having severe back pain in the center of my back. It radiates through my ribs and its hard for me to take a deep breath when im sitting up.
New back pain that woke me up last. It feels like it may be my ribs in the back on the right. It hurts to take a deep breath not sure what it is.
Need further eval: It could be simply musculoskeletal such as a rib fracture or pulled muscle. However, your shortness of breath is concerning. You may have a blood clot in your lungs which could cause these symptoms. Your symptoms might be something going on with your lungs or heart so see a healthcare provider as soon as possible or further workup.
