Deep mid back pain, sharp when taking a deep breath just at the end of the breath. Not too severe but bothersome and only feel when inhaling deep?
Pleuritis--see M.D.: This pain at the end of a deep breath in the back at the age of 27 if you are healthy suggests to me pleuritis or costochondritis. I had coughing/congestion for a week. Now there's back pain under right shoulder blade. Only hurts mildly with deep inhale. Nose is still stuffy.
Should get x ray: There are several possibilities one is that all the coughing caused a muscle spasm and that is what hurts. It could be pleurisy a bit of fluid in the membrane around the lung.
