Need more info: This is not a problem which can be solved over the internet. You need to go back and see your doctor. Make a list of each and every one of your symptoms and the sequence in which they occurred, and any other associated things you think are relevant and take this with you to the doctor and be examined and perhaps have imaging studies and labs. Probably not: Asthma causes one to have muscle pains especially if u have been coughing a lot and not well controlled. Chest pain from constant coughing is quite common. Follow up needed: Given persistent cough and a history of asthma I would definitely check in with primary car physician just to make sure everything is ok and asthma is well controlled. A chest infection --: Can cause pains in the chest/back, increasing with coughing/sneezing.
Take some advil/ acetaminophen/ aleve (naproxen) (if no allergies/side effects) for it. A cough suppressant might also help. Steam inhalation are certainly helpful.
