With he intensity of pain i suggest urgent medical evaluation either at an urgent care, er or with your primary care physician or urologist. Could be: but maybe ulcer or reflux too , if take a lot of over the counter pain killers like aspirin , ibuprofen or aleve, (naproxen) or drink too much alcohol can give an ulcer or pancreatitis . if normal weight and not losing and all else normal probably what you said but good to see a gastroenterologist about this. ...Read more

LBA under 30: I assume there is no radiation so this points to localized lesions in a "youngster." See your doctor for an x-ray -most likely spondylolisthesis-a developmental instability in the 4th or 5th lumbar vertebra. Less likely is arthritis from old injury or a birth defect. Gastritis/ulcer: increased acidity can irritate the gastric lining and cause inflammation and pain that is calmed by food. I recommend avoiding high acid foods(citrus, tomato juice,coffee, alcohol ),avoid smoking, eat small portions more often, and try OTC Prilosec or Nexium (esomeprazole). Back pain: Do you have scoliosis ( s curve) of spine? Injury? Sound like musculoskeletal or disc related though you are young for disc (unless you do gymnastics or back pain from any vigorous sport ).
