Night pain, not good: I am always worried when pain wakens my patients. Although it may not be serious, and related to a common condition, before assuming it is due to your back, I would suggest you have your gynecologist evaluate you for conditions in the ovaries or surrounding organs that could cause this. BPH: This may or may not be related to your back pain. You could be developing benign prosthetic hypertrophy. This may be spinal related. Maybe developing spinal symptoms. Many Possibilities: Depending on how long it's been going on, I would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. See gastroenterologist: It is apparent that you need to talk to a gastroenterologist. There are I'm quite sure simple answers to the symptoms that you have. It could be that for some reason you are belching more at night because you are swallowing air. This air could then pass to your large bowel bymorning and cause problems. Pretty unusual: Thoracic spine pain is uncommon without a lifting/twisting injury and the worsening when lying down is also unusual! Suggest you might need an MRI! See your Primary care Provider ASAP.
