Back Pain Swollen Ankles

Swollen ankles, back pain, knee pain & foot pain. Are they side effects of felodipine? If so are they serious or harmless?
Indirectly: Low back pain is often from a strain of a muscle or problems with the vertebrae of the lumbar region. So, problems to the lower extremity are usually nerve related. However, if the back pain causes one to not walk or to constantly sit due to the pain, it can have an indirect effect due to not functioning properly. So technically - indirectly.See 1 more doctor answer

Swollen ankles salt?: 39F US notes/asks: have swollen ankles top of the foot swollen back of knees feel painful can to much salt cause swelling? ANS: need much more detail but most common cause of swollen ankles is eating more salt than your body can get rid of. But pain in back of knees is not part of that. You may have blood clots in legs. I have swollen ankles pain around ankles up back of legs red raised lumps 2, on each knee sore to touch turn to bruise next day vericous veins?
Have it looked at: A sprain injury can result in redness, bruising, swelling, pain, and possibly instability of the involved area. An x-ray will be able to assist in differentiating a sprain form a fracture. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
Sat on leg for 2hrs, stood up entire leg numb w foot very swollen red, relieved in 15 minutes now centralzed back pain 1hr. Blood clot? Was active today
Doubt blood clot: Unless you were almost motionless for those 2 hours (and even then), without knowing if you have any other risk factors (smoking, etc), i'd say it's extremely unlikely that you'd develop a clot that quickly. You were probably sitting in a position compressing some blood vessels and nerves somewhere and getting up eventually relieved that. Back pain also probably from how you were sitting.

Pregnant?: Of course there are multiple possibilities and you should consider being seen, especially with the issue of your legs swelling. Could you possibly be pregnant?
Pins and needles in calf, spasm, pain in thigh, swollen groin and hip and lower back pain. Had leg sonogram last month and no clot. What could it be?
Possibly venous: You may have venous insufficiency, or venous reflux, of the leg veins or pelvic veins. Ask for an ultrasound of your leg veins to check for it - it is different than looking for a clot - make sure you are sitting or standing during the scan. You would need an mrv to look for dilated pelvic veins.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends on cause: If the swelling resolves overnight, this is most likely due to venous insufficiency. Elastic stockings are best long term remedy. Elevate legs whenever possible. If this persists or if swelling does not improve overnight, get examined by your physician for other possible causes which can be treated.See 3 more doctor answers
Need more info...: Is ankle swelling bilaterally symmetrical, involving evenly or locally/ regionally? Do you have short of breath? Have you had history of congestive heart failure...?
