Neck Checked Out?: Many times when the brain is normal and headaches still persist having the neck or cervical spine checked out for abnormalities is the next step. I would suggest that and maybe even see a pain/spine specialist to evaluate for facet disorders. The plank position-: -uses Ur core or abdominal muscles. If they R weak, Ur back muscles try 2 help as U sag . U also may have an intrinsic back problem, but I would concentrate on core & skip planks altogether . Doc should worry: You are correct to be alarmed by these headaches. Failure to be aggressive with migraines will lead to chronic headache disorders. If you have not seen a neurologist who specializes in headaches, then do so asap. Migraines are not only painful but cause brain injury. You need a full work up including your dental bite and sinus exam. Triggers need ID and both prevention and ablation therapy. ...Read more

Have you been seen?: Certainly, we are seeing many viral illnesses that involve cough and phlegm. But it sounds as though you are suffering here. Your back, neck, and side pain could be the result of straining to cough. I wonder if you have bronchitis or sinusitis. If you've had a history of asthma, you may be "hit harder" by these illnesses.
