It has been replaced a lot in common use after being associated with liver failure/death in infants/children (Reye syndrome) during flu or chickenpox. It does irritate the stomach lining & cause problems in some. However, a coated form called ecotrin is still in use. The Reye issue stops after age 16. Over 2 weeks I have taken 80 children's chewable Tylenol (80mg) and 102 extra strength Tylenol (500mg) could this cause liver damage? I'm not trying to harm my self just having back pain. Im not havin nausea or vomiting I feel ok

Stay active: The worst thing you could do is lay around. Try to stay active and stretch your hamstrings. Applying gentle heat can relieve muscle spasm. Over the counter anti-inflammatories (advil, alleve, etc) can help, but limit use especially if this causes upset stomach.
