Hard to say: Unless you injured it, it would be unusual to have really bad back pain from the muscles in your back. There are many potential causes some of which are musculoskeletal, but some which are not. A kidney infection, known as a pyelonephritis is just one example. Consider being checked. Intercostal Neuralgi: Various possible causes. One of them is intercostal neuralgia. This could occur from irritation of the intercostal nerves that runs underneath each of your ribs. If your belt pushes against them, it may irritate them and cause these symptoms. Also other causes could include pleurisy, if you recently got over a cold. Had 2nd MRI with contrast on spine. Have numerous perineural cysts. What can be done to reduce back pain and rib pain from these cysts?

Depends: These perineural cysts can be treated with transforminal epidural steroid injections or even radiofrequency ablation procedures to the facet joints to reduce pain from them. If these do not help then consider possible surgery, but surgery has not shown any real good long term results either. ...Read more

Pleuritic pain...: you are describing pleuritic chest pain and there are many possible causes including lung infection, blood clot, bronchospasm, etc. It could also be a musculoskeletal pain. Pyelonephritis: It sounds like you have pyelonephritis/ renal infection. You could have infected kidney stones or an obstructing ureteral stone. You could have vessico-ureteral reflux or a large post void bladder residual. I would recommend that you see a urologist and get a renal/bladder ultrasound and voiding cysto-urethrogram.
