Education/exam: Most cases I see are due to sitters disease or gait (ex; foot position). But you need to identify the origin and rule out more serious causes. Must check the heart: A person with chest pain and left arm or shoulder symptoms usually has to go to his doctor (or the E.R.) to be checked right away for a heart attack. That means not waiting at home to see if it turns into a bad heart attack. As the saying goes, "better safe than sorry". Monthly?: Many gyne issues, endometriosis, menstrual cramps, ovarian cysts will cause those symptoms (predictably) monthly. Pregnancy can cause that.
