Also known as influenza vaccines, flu shots are given out once a year to protect against the flu. The flu shot stimulates the immune system to build antibodies to three or four strains of flu viruses in the hopes that it will offer protection from the current strains present in the community. Can a flu shot lower WBCs? Had a CBC 2 days after flu shot. WBCs came back lower than normal (mine are already low).
It is possible.
Will strongly advise you to look into the reasons for low
WBCs- toxins, side effects of medications, etc.
Together with clearing the reasons for that I would advise you to take some herbs to strengthen your immune system and stimulate the bone marrow.

Allergic to flu shot? In the past very severe pain after shot (1st time neck froze, next time severe back spasms). Needed Vicodin to get past pain.
Is it normal to have pain at the injection sight on my arm after a flu shot that radiates towards the upper back?
I got my flu shot a few months ago now i'm sick with everything even a cough that hurts my back and chest. Should I go to the doctor?
I got a flu shot on Tuesday and within a few hours developed a small lump on the back of my forearm that started very soft and now feels fairly firm?
Hematoma: It's possible that a small hematoma or bruise may have been caused by the shot IF this swelling is at the site of the injection. If the injection site is not related to that lump, then it must be something else such as a muscle 'knot' or localized spasm. If it's a hematoma I wonder if you are on blood thinners/have a bleeding problem? If so, you should tell your doc. Also if fever develops, call. ...Read more
The right back side of my neck and head hurts. When i pick anything up it feels like a painful string being pulled. I received a flu shot about 3 hour?
Timing: Which came first? Flu shot or neck pain? You describe very nicely neck muscle spasm which occurs in many different circumstances. Unless your flu shot was injected in your neck, a connection is unlikely. Neck sprain is by far the commonest source of those symptoms, but certainly not the only possibility. Flu symptoms are usually more diffuse, rather than on one side of the neck. ...Read more
Had a flu shot yesterday morning. No issues since...until now. Just took a warm shower and while washing my hair I felt my back - full of a bumpy rash?
Is the rash itchy?: or just bumpy? Do you have an allergy to egg products? Depending on type of flu shot with or without preservative, grown on egg medium. If itchy and hot shower could stimulate histamine. Call your doctor who gave it to you if you still have the rash ASAP. If not itchy may be less urgent, but still need to call in. ...Read more

Taking bactrimds for impetigo. Few days ago pain/press. Behind eyes, nausea, swollen glands back of head, fever, bodyaches, flu shot in sept. Ideas?
Sinus infection?: Pain behind your eyes is typical for a sinus infection. The nausea, sweats, chills and body aches could be signs of a bacterial or viral infection, including the flu or mono. The flu shot protects 50-70% of healthy adults, so you can still get the flu, which is a virus. If it's a bacterial infection of your sinuses, Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) likely isn't enough. Either way, you're very ill, so please call your doc! ...Read more
