Investigate why?: Sounds like it could be a Bakers cyst! These are knee fluid collection in a cyst behind the knee, likely as a result of trauma, wear and tear,i.e. A torn meniscus?, should get an MRI to better understand why this is occurring!A support may make it worse! OA vs PFPS: Two possibilities are most likely. The first is osteoarthritis, or wear and tear ("rust in the joint"). This is usually in middle-age people but can occur earlier with excessive use. Another option is patellofemoral pain syndrome, or inflammation where the kneecap tracks on the femur (upper leg bone). Are you certain: that is an xray report? I have never seen a radiologist make such a conclusion. The radiologist describes findings and may make a suggestion about additional tests, but "no action required" is a clinical assessment that is usually beyond the scope of a the radiologist. ...Read more

Cauda Equina: Inability to urinate is an emergency. I would make sure you don't have what is called cauda equina syndrome. Unfortunately this requires surgery to correct.
