Local reaction: Sounds like you are having a local allergic reaction to the bite. If no health risks, take some benadryl (diphenhydramine) (don't mix with alcohol) and apply otc hydrocortisone cream. Cool compress of water and white vinegar in 50/50 mix may help give some temporary relief. Keep hand elevated.
