It is commonly seen by others looking at those who have it. It is mostly mysterious but is present at birth but also can be due to early reduced vision. Later in life it is usually a side effect of some drugs. ...Read more

a chiropractor thinks my rapidly deteriorating neck conditions are happening partly because I injured my middle back and necks been compensatin true?
Heck of a Neck!!!: By the looks of your 'conditions, ' it's probably more than just a middle back injury (unless you fell through the sun roof at the W on your way down from the 13th floor). But it is a general principle that other parts of the body compensate for an injury in another part. I have power chains on my 2 front teeth and they closed rapidly and pushed the gum back and caused a lump of gum behind my teeth, will it go away?
Most likely: Your body will most likely take care of the extra tissue. It's most likely swollen from being pinched between the teeth. If it doesn't resolve on its own a very simple procedure to remove the painful tissue can be performed by a laser trained dentist. Take some ibuprofen if it is painful and give it a week or so to resolve. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Fevers for the most part aren't dangerous and are just the body's natural reaction to fighting off an infection. Most of these infections are viral and may be accompanied by runny nose, sore throat, congestion, mild rash, or nothing at all. Since fevers aren't dangerous, we usually treat the fever with Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen just to make the child more comfortable as their body fights the illness.
"red flags" that we look for with fever to indicate something more serious is going on are:
-fevers that last 5 days or more
-fevers persistently above 104f orally
-a child that acts very sick - very irritable or difficult to wake
-vomiting, diarrhea, refusal to drink, or dehydration
-a purple rash, esp on the legs
-any complaints of pain such as the ear, throat, stomach or a joint
i am more concerned about his rapid breathing and vomiting than the fever. With pneumonia, you should start to see an improvement after 48 hours of antibiotics. If he is the same or worsening, then you should take him back in. Good luck! ...Read more
