TMJ: Tmj is primarily a condition caused by muscle tension about the jaw joint. Sore areas around your jaw are to be expected; these usually reflect muscle spasm around the inflamed joint. If you have enough muscle tension in your body to cause tmj, you may also be susceptible to muscle spasms in other areas of your body like your back and arms. Few possibilities : Gastritis can certainly lead to that, especially of severe, or if an ulcer has developed. If the acid is very high it can come into the esophagus and worsen the situation causing esophagitis. Gallbladder issues also a possibility but would usually cause right sided chest pain. Suggest seeing a doc. Avoiding ALL FOODS that can worsen. Taking Prilosec in morning and Zantac (ranitidine) at night. ...Read more

Cardiac workup: Chest pain accompanied by nausea and belching may represent heart disease. A normal resting ekg however is not sufficient to exclude heart disease. An exercise stress test and an echocardiogram can help assess for blockages and structural heart disease. Possible : There is no perfect test, and it is possible to have heart pain with a normal ECG. Best to also check blood tests with this, and consider other tests such as a stress test if symptoms persistent. Possible: I would consider conservative therapies first such as strengthening exercises for your core. Also look up exercises to strengthen the upper back. A good book for exercised to help with pain is Pain Free by Peter Egoscue. Consider chiropractice or osteopathic manipulation, accupuncture, massage.....If conservative therapies don't work then follow up with a breast or plastic surgeon. ...Read more
