Dr sear's diet: I agree elimination diet is important if you are nursing and your baby is fussy/colic without any other problem (ie fever, poor feeding, etc) if you need a reference google "dr sears elimination diet". Focus mostly on foods mentioned to be avoided. If you hadn't had problems until you ate shrimp, then avoiding shellfish is all u need to do. ...Read more

We have a month old infant who is gassy. We do our best to aggresively make him burp but within an hour after feed, he gets up crying from gas pain. Are there any other remedies?

Some possibilities: Babies swallow air- when they eat, suck or cry. During feedings, try to burp him in between every ounce, or between nursing on each side. Hold him upright (on your shoulder) for 15-20 minutes after feedings to help allow the air to rise up and escape, and not get trapped under the milk. Try a lactose free formula. Try simethicone (gas drops for infants). Check with your doctor if this continues. ...Read more

A GI issue: Clearly you are not worrying that you are in the throws of a very early miscarriage at this time. GI issues are almost always related to diet.
