33 weeks pregnant. Feel like babies foot or leg was crushed by my ribs after sitting up too fast. Is this possible? It hurt my ribs.
Doubtful: Remember that the baby is surrounded by fluid, the amniotic fluid, in a large amniotic sac. It is doubtful that sitting up too fast would cause any harm to the baby, but it is possible you 'pulled a muscle' between your ribs called the intercostal muscle. Move more slowly and deliberately and avoid rapid movements! ...Read more

How long is an infant protected from the flu shot given to a pregnant woman in the 3rd trimester? I got the 4 virus version.
Hard to be sure: The antibodies built during pregnancy are pushed into baby at a level higher per pound than mom retains. That said, all such antibodies begin to age out and become less effective with time. By 3-6 mo there is little if any left. Since there are always a few more flu strains circulating than the ones they can put in the vaccine, it is important to avoid exposure as the primary form of prevention ...Read more

It sounds like you are now measuring in the normal range which a good sign since previously it was measuring slightly low. It appears things are back to normal. OF course it is best to clarify with your doctor who has all of the information ...Read more

You are lucky..: If you are on the tall side, the uterus has more room to "elongate" upward rather than bulging outward, thus the appearance of smaller pregnant belly. Shorter ladies often show bigger pregnant bellies. Also, the curvature of lowback can influence the show of your front belly. You feel well n baby is growing normally, that is all that matters..Just tell people you carry it well. Congrats. Good luck. ...Read more
