33 weeks pregnant. Feel like babies foot or leg was crushed by my ribs after sitting up too fast. Is this possible? It hurt my ribs.

Doubtful: Remember that the baby is surrounded by fluid, the amniotic fluid, in a large amniotic sac. It is doubtful that sitting up too fast would cause any harm to the baby, but it is possible you 'pulled a muscle' between your ribs called the intercostal muscle. Move more slowly and deliberately and avoid rapid movements! ...Read more

Not normal: You need to get to the hospital now. Severe/extreme pain is never normal at 33 weeks and it could be something serious like the placenta pulling away or bleeding behind it. Turn off computer and get to er/hospital now! ...Read more

How long is an infant protected from the flu shot given to a pregnant woman in the 3rd trimester? I got the 4 virus version.

How long is an infant protected from the flu shot given to a pregnant woman in the 3rd trimester? I got the 4 virus version.

Hard to be sure: The antibodies built during pregnancy are pushed into baby at a level higher per pound than mom retains. That said, all such antibodies begin to age out and become less effective with time. By 3-6 mo there is little if any left. Since there are always a few more flu strains circulating than the ones they can put in the vaccine, it is important to avoid exposure as the primary form of prevention ...Read more

Now im 33 weeks pregnant baby weight is 1 9 kgs its a good weight or what can I eat?

How many kg?: If baby is 19 kg you have a major problem! that would mean baby is 42 lbs! even if you meant to say 9kg, that would be almost 20lbs. Either is way too big for a normal pregnancy. Did you mean baby is 9 pounds? At 33 weeks of pregnancy, your baby should weigh more like 3-4 pounds. Please see your obstetrician to get a better sense of baby's size and expected birth weight. ...Read more

My baby was born at 33+weeks he is now 34+6 how much should he be eating ?

Depends: If you mean how much feeding by mouth, that varies with the premature baby's readiness to eat all feeds by mouth and weight at almost 35 weeks corrected age. A range of 2-3 oz per lb per day or 140-160 ml/kg/day should have your pediatrician's input to make sure the baby is getting adequate nutrition. Make an appointment today to ask your pediatrician for a feeding plan if you're unsure ...Read more

How much does an average of 33 weeks fetus weight? Thanks

2 kilos (2000 grams): A fetus weighs about 2 kilos at 33 weeks gestation, or about 4 pounds 6 ounces. There is a big range for weights, probably from 1.5 to 2.5 kilos or about 3.5 to 5.5 pounds. The more common, middle range would thus be about 4 to 5 pounds. ...Read more

Is it good if baby is measuring in 95th percentile at 33 weeks ga?

Yes if.....: If your baby has always measured on this percentile, then remaining there with subsequent measurements is an indication of steady healthy growth. If your baby rapidly increased to the 95th after being on much lower percentiles, there may be cause for concern, especially if you have gestational diabetes. ...Read more

Im 33 weeks and 5 days my babys waist is to small i was wondering if being around someone who smokes alot could cause that?

Not likely: It is highly unlikely that second hand smoke exposure would lead to a small fetal abdominal circumference. The question to ask your doctor is if the abdominal circumference is small but normal or small and abnormal indicating an overall problem with fetal growth. ...Read more

I'm 33 weeks and the baby is measuring at 35 weeks 5 pounds 3 ounces . Does that mean I will have a big baby ? I'm due October 27th

Maybe: Babies gain most of their weight in the last 6 weeks or so. This is when it will make the most difference. I had a professor who said Great Danes don't have chihuahuas and chihuahuas don't have Great Danes. Are you a chihuahua or a Great Dane? ...Read more

33 weeks pegnant and baby's liquid volume is 7 and has measured below the 10th percentile till today and is now 25th within 2 weeks what happened next?

Amniotic fluid: It sounds like you are referring to the amniotic fluid index measured by ultrasound. An amniotic fluid index above 5 and less than 25 cm is considered normal. It sounds like you are now measuring in the normal range which a good sign since previously it was measuring slightly low. It appears things are back to normal. OF course it is best to clarify with your doctor who has all of the information ...Read more

If my babys head is in the cervix at 33 weeks , how many weeks do you estimate her arrival will be?

If my babys head is in the cervix at 33 weeks , how many weeks do you estimate her arrival will be?

?: No way to know with any certainty. I interpret what you mean that the baby's head is in the pelvis. If this is the case, it is a little early, an ultrasound can tell your doctor if the cervix is beginning to thin-out which is more important and is a risk factor for early delivery. ...Read more

Last ultrasound 33 weeks show cepheric presentation and placenta anterior uper as there any posibilty to move plecenta or the baby change postion?

Baby moving: At 33 weeks, the placenta isn't likely to move any more, it will stay anterior upper. By 33 weeks, the baby has probably settled in for the term BUT if you've given birth before, there in an increased chance that the baby can still shift around to transverse or breech. This is much less common if it's your first. ...Read more

At 33 weeks my bby weighed 4lbs 5oz. Nobody believes me because my stomach is so tiny. Hw come my belly looks 5mnths preg. Bt my bby is growing properly?

You are lucky..: If you are on the tall side, the uterus has more room to "elongate" upward rather than bulging outward, thus the appearance of smaller pregnant belly. Shorter ladies often show bigger pregnant bellies. Also, the curvature of lowback can influence the show of your front belly. You feel well n baby is growing normally, that is all that matters..Just tell people you carry it well. Congrats. Good luck. ...Read more
