Baby Vomits While Breastfeeding Then Milk Comes Out From Nose
Hi, breastfeeding my 1 month old baby vomits large amount of curdled milk once in two days comes out by his nose too.Can I use domstal or benadon?
No, would not use.: Those medications would not be recommended for a 1 month old baby. You should see your baby's doctor to make sure there is not a structural intestinal problem. You should also make sure that your baby is gaining weight well when you go. If your nipples are cracked and If your baby is swallowing blood from that, that could make him vomit. ...Read more

Hi,my breastfeeding 1 month old baby vomits large amount of curdled milk sometimes. He has gained good weight though. Is it normal to vomit often?
18mos baby cough with phlegm, runny nose, fever >100, dont want to eat, only breastfeeding, once vomitting with phlegm. Diagnose? Suggestion for cure?
My 4 month baby (breastfeeding) vomits small amount curdled milk for past 2 days 10 to 15 times even after taking domstal drops. Is it normal ?
More than likely: Most babies have varying degrees of stomach reflex, causing frequent spitting up and abdominal discomfort. They get better on their own without any workup or medication. If your baby is otherwise acting, eating and growing OK,( established by weight/height checks at your pedi doc) and keeping most of the feeds down, there is nothing to worry about. Otherwise your pediatrician can evaluate the baby ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm breastfeeding & dr rxd sudafed & guifen w/ codeine. Haven't taken yet but baby is sick now so will medicine passed into milk help him feel better?
Careful: Be careful taking sudafed while breastfeeding. It can decrease your milk supply. Codeine might make you sleep more soundly and not wake to your crying baby, or fall asleep while breastfeeding, which can be very dangerous (dropping baby to floor or rolling on baby/suffocating him). Add water to the air (humidifier) and flush your nose with saline. Honey can help coughs (for those over 1 yr old). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I'm just getting out of a cold I'm breastfeeding my 1 month baby but now it looks like he is getting sick, he has a stuffy nose and coughing a lot??
Continue nursing: Continuation of nursing during periods of illness is beneficial because antibodies produced by mother are passed through breast milk and can help babies recover faster from illness. Nasal congestion in infants can interfere with nursing, so using saline drops in their nose is usually advised. Fever in a baby less than 2 months old (100.4 or higher rectally) is considered an emergency. ...Read more

Increased lacation: You can increase your milk supply by nursing or pumping more frequently, staying well hydrated and rested, and by supplementing your diet with the herb fenugreek. Review the possible side effects of this drug first to make sure the benefit is worth the risk. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Breast feeding: You can do this but why? It is best to not give the baby any formula for as long as possible unless there is a good reason. The major problem is that supplementation will decrease your supply of breast milk which is the reason many mother consider doing this. The solution to insufficient supply is to increase breast feeding not decrease it. Even today's formula is not as good as breast milk. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
