Cough needs eval: If you're having daily cough it's important to be eval by your doctor. May be post nasal drainage which is treated with anthistamines. Or even acid reflux which is treated by otc meds like Prevacid or prilosec. Also need to r/o infection. More concerning would be the possibility of asthma if this is chronic. Vomiting : This could be associated to a viral syndrome which is very common. However depending on the baby's age if he is in his first 2 months of life and gets fever that requires immediate ed evaluation. In any case the fact that he has been not tolerating anything for 3 days deserves for him to get evaluated asap. In the meantime trying small sips of pedialyte can prevent dehydration. ...Read more

Burp, upright: New babies spit alot. The valves that close their stomachs are not well developed, and they are also on liquid diets and eat frequently. Feed slowly, burp frequently and keep upright after feeds. Sometimes altering your diet can be helpful, such as decreasing your dairy products intake.
