Try more liquids and see how that works. Attitude can cause it for which patience is the cure. If it persists see the doctor ...Read more

My 11 week old baby keeps vomiting sometimes while eating or after eating. Is this normal?

Very common: 3-4 month old can often regurgitate their food/milk without effort..It is a rather bothersome sight for parents/caretaker to witness. Nevertheless, as long baby is not uncofmortable, still eating and gaining wt, then i would not worry much. Don't over feed and thickening the milk with rice cereal etc..May reduce this a bit. Also, burping baby to reduce large air bubble in tummy. Good luck. ...Read more

Have been eating less to loose weight and pooping less often. does more food = more poop and less food = less poop?

Have been eating less to loose weight and pooping less often. does more food = more poop and less food = less poop?

Not necessarily: You could eat less food but increase you fiber intake by switching to high fiber foods and keep your bowel movements regular. Or you could take a fiber laxative like Metamucil. In either case drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Why is my 8 month old baby vomiting after eating dairy(milk based porridge for babies or cottage cheese) but yet he doesn't after vomit eating formula

Whole milk products: Whole milk products may not be tolerated until after 12 months of age. Use infant formula (or breast milk) to make sure your baby gets the right balance of digestible nutrients. If your baby still doesn't tolerate whole cow's milk after a year of age, you may need to try a lactose free cow's milk or soy milk . Some babies can tolerate yogurt, since the lactose is broken down more. ...Read more

My baby stopped eating solids at 8 months, shes 9 months now and only drinks milk.. She eats a few bites here and there no more. She is loosing weight?

Infant Nutrition: If your baby is consistently losing weight you should see your doctor. At 9 months her diet should still be mostly breast milk and/or infant formula (not cow's milk - do not give cow's milk until 12 months). Solids can help with weight gain but are not strictly necessary. Some children can't swallow solids well (rare) and may aspirate which may explain her stopping solids. ...Read more

My baby two months old and when she's feeding she gulps fast, spits it out, starts crying and seems disatisfied but still eats momentslater. What's wrong?

Bottle or breast?: If bottle, check the mechanics of the bottle first to see if she's swallowing air. Don't heat the formula in a microwave, as that can cause some really hot spots. Try a bottle that has a bag from which you can express air, creating a vacuum like she'd have if nursing. If breastfeeding, check her " latch." if the problem persists, let her pediatrician watch her feed. ...Read more

My 4 week baby breath so hard when she drinks milk , it all happens while she is drinking during sleep?

Confusing question: Babies depend on their open nasal passages to breathe normally. If baby must stop feeding to do some breathing or seems to work harder to breathe during feedings, she needs her nose cleaned of any mucous or irritant debris. Dust, smoke & fragrances, make it hard for babies & saline nose rinse is your best rx. I don't know of any babies that drink during sleep, but many sound bad if congested. ...Read more
