Digestion is great: Chances are the enzymes in babies saliva will begin neutralizing the material and it will be destroyed by acid when it gets to the stomach. MRSA doesn't survive the transit into the distal GI tract. I would be more concerned if you dripped it into her nose. Plan to modify your practices when dealing with baby. Wash hands well and ware a mask if you think you might carry something home from work. ...Read more

Keep out: Yes, old blood from a procedure may/will be seen. Some of it dries on the lining inside the nose. When our noses run, the dried blood is moistened and will drain as well. It is very important to not put your finger, or tissue inside your nose to try to scrape this out. Pulling this dried blood off the very thin walls can injure the lining and cause a nose bleed.
