Baby Rash Skin
Yes.: Diaper dermatitis will usually blanch when you press on it; it's a sign that the skin is inflamed, and the little tiny blood vessels in it have dilated to bring more blood to the area. The fastest treatment for diaper dermatitis is to take off the diaper. While that may mean somebody will have to follow the baby around with a pooper scooper, the rash will clear very quickly. ...Read more

Multiple Causes: There are many reasons for kids to get itchy skin. Most common is simply dry skin which can be worsened by cold weather and dehydration. Another cause is contact dermatitis, an allergy to things like poison ivy. If there is a rash and nasal congestion whole body allergies might be suspected. This could be from a reaction to foods and molds.Begin by using a moisturizer regularly. Can help a lot. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Very oily skin no matter how much washed. Painful itchy skin. Rash on back face neck scalp. Skin hurts. New soap. Reaction maybe?
New to me: Never heard of this before, so i don't think so. Ask your pediatrician to check the skin blotching. And now that your child has teeth erupting, make appointment with pediatric dental specialist for growth & development exam, oral hygiene and diet instructions, Fluoride balancing, and so much more. Don't wait until 2-3, please go now. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Trust ur (kid's) doc: Candibec appears to be a combination steroid cream available in the philippines. It only works if the rash is responsive to it. While it can suppress immune response to infection, it won't get rid of infection. So your pediatrician must have a good reason to recommend it rather than antifungal or other cream. In other words, need to know cause of skin rash. Get 2nd opinion if you don't trust doc. ...Read more

I have an itchy/redness scrotum for awhile now, it hasn't gone away with trying anti fungal creams, sprays, baby rash cream has not worked either. ?
Leave it alone: Scrotal itching and rash isn't usually due to fungal infection, which is more likely to affect the the groin (e.g. Inner thighs) than the scrotum itself. Scrotal rashes are more often due to dry skin or excessive scratching. The best thing to do is to avoid over-washing, especially with soap and hot water, and avoid scratching. In other words: leave your balls alone, and they'll get better. ...Read more

Elecare and neocate and allimentium all caused skin rash and mucus in infant. What options are left to feed him?
Formula: Neutramigen, but it is similar to Alimentum. I have heard reports that sometimes using the ready to feed, not powder, helps. Have you considered that it might be soaps? There is corn in formulas, but I don't think there are any formulas without some form of corn syrup, corn maltodextrin, or corn syrup solids. An allergist may be able to see what it is. Banked breast milk might be another option. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Common patters: A lot of infant viral infections will have fever for a few days and end in a generalized rash. What are the possible causes of a yeast related skin rash in an infant? How long does it take to clear up with an ointment & is it contagious?
Part of life: Yeast is around us in the environment & by later infancy at least 5% of the dry weight of poo is yeast. Postinflammatory: It's called postinflammatory change, and it's quite common. After a rash heals, many people are left with discoloration (either lighter or darker than normal) in the involved areas. It is of no consequence, and the color will return to normal with time. A bit of cautious sun exposure will speed the process, but a baby's skin is prone to sunburn, so be very careful. ...Read more
