Does the skin rash blanch if your baby has diaper rash?

Does the skin rash blanch if your baby has diaper rash?

Yes.: Diaper dermatitis will usually blanch when you press on it; it's a sign that the skin is inflamed, and the little tiny blood vessels in it have dilated to bring more blood to the area. The fastest treatment for diaper dermatitis is to take off the diaper. While that may mean somebody will have to follow the baby around with a pooper scooper, the rash will clear very quickly. ...Read more

How effective is candibec to skin rash in infants? My babys pedia recomend it,

Trust ur (kid's) doc: Candibec appears to be a combination steroid cream available in the philippines. It only works if the rash is responsive to it. While it can suppress immune response to infection, it won't get rid of infection. So your pediatrician must have a good reason to recommend it rather than antifungal or other cream. In other words, need to know cause of skin rash. Get 2nd opinion if you don't trust doc. ...Read more

I have an itchy/redness scrotum for awhile now, it hasn't gone away with trying anti fungal creams, sprays, baby rash cream has not worked either. ?

I have an itchy/redness scrotum for awhile now, it hasn't gone away with trying anti fungal creams, sprays, baby rash cream has not worked either. ?

Leave it alone: Scrotal itching and rash isn't usually due to fungal infection, which is more likely to affect the the groin (e.g. Inner thighs) than the scrotum itself. Scrotal rashes are more often due to dry skin or excessive scratching. The best thing to do is to avoid over-washing, especially with soap and hot water, and avoid scratching. In other words: leave your balls alone, and they'll get better. ...Read more

One more try: You may have seborrheic dermatitis, a diagnosis that is as tough to say as it is to write! fortunately, it is usually easy to treat. Try some triamcinalone 0.1% ointment twice daily. It is a chronic condition and will return so only treat it when it bothers you. ...Read more

Elecare and neocate and allimentium all caused skin rash and mucus in infant. What options are left to feed him?

Formula: Neutramigen, but it is similar to Alimentum. I have heard reports that sometimes using the ready to feed, not powder, helps. Have you considered that it might be soaps? There is corn in formulas, but I don't think there are any formulas without some form of corn syrup, corn maltodextrin, or corn syrup solids. An allergist may be able to see what it is. Banked breast milk might be another option. ...Read more

Infant had fever about 2 days up to 102.7 finally broke on day 2 but now has rash on head chest back and cries almost constantly?

Common patters: A lot of infant viral infections will have fever for a few days and end in a generalized rash. Some have names based on location and type of rash, but they are expected and rather benign.I'd consider the crying evidence it is not finished. As long as the kid takes fluids well and plays occasionally you can monitor at home.If not drinking the kid should be seen. ...Read more

Part of life: Yeast is around us in the environment & by later infancy at least 5% of the dry weight of poo is yeast. The skin surface is resistant to yeast unless irritated or over hydrated ( like wearing diapers ). The yeast creates a rash when it takes the opportunity of a simple exposure & sets up housekeeping on irritated skin.Improvement with rx occurs within days. ...Read more

My baby has white patches in his skin after his rashes healed. Does anyone know why it is?

My baby has white patches in his skin after his rashes healed. Does anyone know why it is?

Postinflammatory: It's called postinflammatory change, and it's quite common. After a rash heals, many people are left with discoloration (either lighter or darker than normal) in the involved areas. It is of no consequence, and the color will return to normal with time. A bit of cautious sun exposure will speed the process, but a baby's skin is prone to sunburn, so be very careful. ...Read more
