My three-month-old BF baby has normally had yellow colored poop. But tonight she just had a green poop is that normal?
Breast milk poo: The stool of breast fed babies can vary in color and consistency without cause for concern, provided there is no blood, fever, vomiting, irritability, abdominal distension or loss of weight. If other children in the home or daycare are having similar symptoms, it may be due to infection. ...Read more
Baby is 2 months her poop is green, sometimes green/yellow with seeds like the first week she was born with the seeds. Is this normal?
Pretty common: The greenish color in stool is the breakdown product of the bile when it has not been in the gut long enough to go through a change to yellowish or brown. It is normal as is the loose consistency. Some digested material will take on a darker tint than others & the germs in the gut will also impact the final product. I'd ignore the whole issue. ...Read more

My 1 month old baby grunts when she's poops and it seem like its hard for to push but its yellow and water and she is breast fed normal?
Yes.: Normal babies grunt, turn red, and sometimes cry when they poop. They have to learn to use their stomach muscles to push the poop out, just like they have to learn to use their arms and legs. As long as it comes out soft, she's ok. ...Read more
White stuff in baby poop....poop is in yellow color and there is some white stuff present in it. ..she is 4 months old and is breast feeded.
Hard to says: A 4 months old stool can be green, yellow and seedy. Not too sure what the white stuff is unless seen in real life. I would suggest a visit with your doctor to confirm these findings. Provided the baby is just breast fed, and no other symptoms are present this can be followed up with your doctor at the next appointment. ...Read more
When my baby poops, there is a thick layer of the yellow poop coated on his butt cheek. I know this is an odd question, but how can I prevent this?
Keep cleaning: A newborn or babies poop can be sticky like silly putty but smellier. I would recommend immediate diaper changes as soon as you know he has left you a gift. Soap and water works better than wipes in my opinion. If you have a small tub or kitchen spray this works wonders for clean up. Good luck. ...Read more

2 mo old baby passes lots smelly farts. Poop mustard yellow, smelly. Sometimes in pain. Formula and breast fed. Tried ovol, gripe, massage. Concern?
Baby poop: What you are describing all sounds very normal. The poop is a reflection of the bacteria in the baby's gut as well as your diet (as you are sometimes breast feeding). Babies often cry when trying to have bowel movements - it's a new thing for them and they have to learn how to relax a sphincter and at the same time are bearing down to push the stool out - they get frustrated/cry - it gets better ...Read more
My 2 year old child has yellow pasty poop. What is the cause for this? He had a stomach virus recently, but he had this several weeks ago as well for about 2-3 days. It went away. And it just came back again.
Good news! The only stool colors we get really concerned about are red (blood from colon), black (blood from small intestine or stomach), or white (liver is not working well). Colors such as brown, yellow, orange, green, blue, or even purple (beets) can all be normal and usually associated with diet. If he has a persistent change in his stool habits, you should contact his physician since this could be a sign of an underlying disorder, but a one-time strange stool that is not red, black or white is usually of no concern.
If he is having continued diarrhea, or a change in color unrelated to diet, give his doctor a call. They may want to check his stool for bacterial, viruses, parasites, and other things to give clues as to why he is having this ongoing problem. Good luck! ...Read more
My 10 month old baby passing out stool 5 to 6 times a day. Is it normal? Stool is soft sometimes yellow sometimes green?
How fed????: Breast fed infants may stool a every feeding or once a week. If it is soft it is not constipation. If formula fed, the pattern is more likely to be a few daily or at least every other day. If stools are soft & baby feeds well & plays, there is no reason to be concerned. If a poor feeder & not wetting diapers at least every 6 hours, I would have her checked.Stool color varies thru greens-yellow-brown ...Read more

My baby is 1 month age. I use fumula feeding no breastfed. Now he has stool around 10 time a day. But his stool is yellow and dark green colour.
Probably fine: I would not be worried about this kind of regular stooling pattern at this age as long as the child appears normal otherwise, is active &feeding well, growing normally and is receiving an approved baby formula, prepared or diluted properly. The baby's digestive system is still getting used to the child's new environment outsdide the uterus. Anything else seems amiss? Do check promptly with your md. ...Read more

Our 5 month old baby passed stool that is a large ball of yellow jelly - very jelly like. What could be the cause and what action should we take?
Jelly Stool: The stools of infants vary greatly in color and texture ranging from loose mustard yellow to hard dark brown. However, a jelly secretion implies a blockage of stool from passing and is of concern. If your baby is comfortable and without other problems, call your doctor for further advice and care. If your baby has any other symptom (crying, fussy, bloated, etc) seek immediate help, go to ER. ...Read more
