What are the health consequences of a heart rate of 45-50 BPM during contractions from nuchal cord?

Most likely none: It is quite common for infants to experience a slow heart rate during contractions when mother is pushing. However, if the infant is experiencing slow heart rate early in the labor process it may indicate that the baby is compromised. Most infants can tolerate this without long term damage for a short period of time, but ongoing heart rate drops need immediate evaluation.

Call your OB: This is clearly a situation that is best to call your obstetrician where you are getting your prenatal care. If you're not getting prenatal care, go to an ER where there is obstetrical support. Hope this helps, and good luck with the rest of the pregnancy.

My babies heart rate was in the 170s I'm 11 weeks and 3 days is this anything to worry about?

Don't worry: Fetal heart rate varies a lot during the day, esp so early in pregnancy. It is the average that matters. At this stage of your pregnancy, you can just relax and follow the advice of your OB. Depending upon if any high risk factors have been identified for any action to be taken to prevent loss.

I'm 5 weeks 6 days, we did a vaginal ultrasound today and the babies heart rate was 73. Is there any hope my baby will survive?

Ultrasound: Did they ask for you to have a repeat ultrasound in a week or two? The ultrasound that you describe above really was very early and would be best to have repeated.

I had an ultrasound today at 8 weeks 3 days pregnant, the babies heart rate was 172 bpm is this normal? And a good sign of survival?

I had an ultrasound today at 8 weeks 3 days pregnant, the babies heart rate was 172 bpm is this normal? And a good sign of survival?

Normal HR: Normal heart rate at around 8 weeks. A normal HR at 8 weeks is a good sign but is not a good predictor of long term issues/survival. Take good care of yourself and work with your OB/GYN closely over the coming months and ask lots of questions. A new baby is an both an exciting and scary time. Good luck.

My babies heart rate was 170 beats/min in 8 weeks 6 days, 166 in 13 weeks 1 day, 137 in 25 weeks. By this can I able to know the gender of the baby?

No: Heart rate isn't indicative of baby's gender, careful ultrasound exam or even more invasive procedures like CVS would tell, I can appreciate social implications, better wait though or resort to ultrasound, wish you a healthy pregnancy and a healthy infant of any gender

My babies heart rate was 170 beats/min in 12 weeks 4 days, 147 in 19 weeks 1 day, 131 in 27 weeks. By this can I able to know the gender of the baby? If can please tell me the gender

Sex determination: By heart rates is not reliable. By this stage, your OB should be able to accurately determine the gender of your baby with an ultrasound. Congratulations!
